I think it would be helpful to paint "Bicycles must walk" or "Walk your bike" (or a similar phrase) directly onto the Dorset bridge sidewalks. The existing signs are not effective. The signs are small, and they are posted way above the sight lines of most cyclists. Many people either fail to notice the signs or simply ignore them. I think it would be much harder for cyclists to ignore large, clearly painted signage while riding directly on it. This type of signage works well for obscured stop signs. Bikes ridden over that bridge are a real hazard. I have already witnessed one bike collision this year and have almost been hit by a cyclist riding on that bridge more than once. Thank you.
