Mike Avena owner of Newport Marine Will never let you down with his illegal activity there. He has been dumping countless dump truck loads of sand at the end of Portland Avenue where the new bulkhead is being built. The sand came from someone who dug out a big hole for a swimming pool and he graciously accepted it to dump into the intracoastal waterway. All that sand has been washing away polluting the area. Between the bulkhead and the road it is supposed to be filled in with riprap rock. As per law according to the army corps of engineers. He's been dumping the sand in there for months. According to law he is supposed to notify the city code enforcement of the recommencement of work two days prior to each recommencement of work. The city is supposed to inspect and enforce the law. Don't hold your breath folks waiting for the city. After all that abandoned crane has been sitting there for 10 years plus, where are the fines where are the city ordinances enforcement ? It's awful funny how someone can get away with so many violations for so many years. Call the code enforcement officers and ask them what's going on. Seems like the only way you're going to get some action is to get this turned over to the big news stations and have heat brought upon the city and the corruption at Newport Marine. Watch out for his son's black dragster car going around the block. With it snow inspection and open exhaust pipes no muffler you might get run over. Need everyone to start calling the police in the city and the mayor and the newspapers. Would not hurt to call the New Jersey state district attorney and the New Jersey state prosecutor don't forget the governor's hotline. As many years as this corrupt organization has been ongoing it probably also when involve Rico charges. Everyone must join together to put an end to this mess and the reign of terror
