Suggestions to make Winchester Avenue second request I originally posted this request June 2I 2021 " I "would like this opportunity to add a comment for ventnor police and street department. Winchester avenue from Jackson to Weymouth is becoming dangerous for the people that walk with friends family , children and pets. It has become a great street to ride bikes on and enjoy the bay. Now this is where the problem starts. Some drivers are using this as a as speedway . Making people nervous as they pass. Some motorists drive in the wrong direction by making a right on a one way street. I would Like to offer a suggestion. If you could place a stop Sign at the intersections of the streets that turn left on Winchester avenue and the back of the “stop signs “ have “one way do not enter” Cars should not be able to accelerate as they often do since there is no stop signs on the stretch of road. And the people that would make a right turn would see” do not enter.” This should help with the problem. This would slow down speed and make this street a pleasant experience as it should be. Thank you " After reading this request the police department posted a temporary speed recording sign and that was it The problem is cars are still speeding down the street from Jackson toward Weymouth Suggesting to either put stop signs at each street end that would force cars to stop or put speed bumps as are installed on Winchester Ave in Atlantic City at Tallahassee Ave the other problem is the absence of a one way sign at Austin and Winchester and cars have been going the wrong way because of it there are no warning signs that say one way do not enter I would appreciate some consideration for these request
